Gracious God, who loves us despite everything we do as individuals and groups to frustrate the coming of your Kingdom, hear us this day as we pray for ourselves and all those who need your grace and mercy. Be with those who have lost homes, businesses, and loved ones in recent flooding. Be with those in places in our world that are caught in cycles of violence and war. Be with those whose lives are tormented by demons within and without. And be with us, dear Jesus, as we seek to hold on to the fire of our first love of you. Hear our prayer even as we pray as you taught us saying: Our Father…
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come, thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
