Join us for our 150th Anniversary Celebration!

In 1872, the people who would become First United Methodist Church began a community based on “Faithfulness, Compassion, and Fellowship.” During this 150th year celebration, we will gather to celebrate these values and continue to live them out in our community.

We may be 150 years old, but we refuse to act our age!

Upcoming Events

150th CELEBRATION CONTINUES! Today we welcome current, past, and future members of our choir to come together for a rehearsal and food. They will perform with our Wesley Children's Choir tomorrow morning. If you join us tomorrow morning you will also hear our wonderful bell choir and Lincoln Brass. Tours continue in the afternoon. Kids are encouraged to attend and complete our scavenger hunt with interesting clues and prizes! (One of them has to do with our very own 'Shrek' hidden somewhere in the church).
150TH CELEBRATION HOMECOMING IS HERE! Gather together this weekend for tours beginning tomorrow and learn about the history of FUMC. There will be people stationed at various entrances and around the church to guide you through several places of the church. We are happy to share our history with the community!
150th CELEBRATION may be coming to an end, but there are still many opportunities to celebrate with us. If you enjoyed your tour, or are visiting us for the first time, feel free to grab a muffin and meet a new friend during fellowship time. Stay for a small group bible study-there is a group for you at FUMC! The 10:45 service welcomes past pastors and features special music that you won't want to miss. Following the service join us for a picture. To conclude our celebration, move to the fellowship hall for lunch-our church hostess, Susan, has been hard at work preparing homemade muffins, cakes, baked steak, and vegetarian pasta primavera for everyone.

Our Homecoming Celebration Was Wonderful!

Thank you to everyone that helped to make our 150th celebration a success! Pictures and reflections from the event will be available on our Facebook page and in our newsletter!
